Piezosystem jena, a manufacturer of high precision piezo electrical positioning systems, has developed a micro objective focusing system especially for applications requiring upside-down operation – an ideal solution for inverted microscopes. Its design, which is free of mechanical play, provides a total travel of 500 µm and guarantees a high resolution in the range of nanometers.

piezosystem jena responded to the demands of customers who operate their system inversely. They view a specimen from the bottom and for this they would like to use a focusing system. As with others in the MIPOS-series, the mounting of this system is very easy. Only screw the FLEX-Adapter thread-ring into the imaging system (e.g. a microscope) and mount the MIPOS 500 UD on this ring with a clamping-screw.

Integrated position sensors guarantee positioning without hysteresis and drift. The MIPOS 500 UD meets the highest demands in high resolution precision positioning and is particularly suitable for applications in biology, laser technology and medicine.
