BioVision Technologies Aquires IPLab for Macintosh® from BD BioSciences

(Exton, PA—September 13, 2006)  BioVision Technologies (BioVision) is pleased to announce that it has acquired the software code, distribution rights, and specific assets related to IPLab for Macintosh® from BD BioSciences (BD) of Rockville, Maryland.  The acquisition will have no impact on licensing rights as we continue to support existing IPLab Macintosh® customers, and has no impact on IPLab for Windows ownership or distribution, which remains owned by BD.   There will be no immediate changes to the IPLab for Macintosh® product line, which is being renamed “iVision-Mac™”.  As in the past, any future changes to iVision-Mac will be communicated as warranted.

“Through this transaction, BioVision will continue to provide excellent support for the current IPLab customers” said BioVision’s President, Ken Anderson.  “Also, by hiring BD’s top programmer for this product line, we plan to further enhance the Macintosh® software with a new release of iVision-Mac by November 2006”.

Scanalytics/ BD Biosciences last year reported over 6,000 users of its software, including research scientists in the most prestigious life science research institutions all over the world.

BioVision Technologies, a national bioimaging hardware/software distributor and systems integrator, is the world’s leading dealer of IPLab software for both Macintosh® and Windows.  BioVision’s success can be attributed to a foundation of customer-driven values that focus on providing top technical/customer support, as well as an unparalleled product line for scientific digital imaging applications.
